It's Been a While...
My blog and I have been estranged for quite some time now. It's been a fun, exciting and crazy season so far this summer. All within three weeks I went from being a Miss to Mrs., my older sister had a beautiful daughter and I spent nine days serving at one of my favorite places in Maine. The days and nights leading up to June have been both exciting and overwhelming at times, but God has been faithful through all of it and I can look back with joy at all He has done in such a short season.

I don't know what God has in store for this next chapter in my life but I'm excited and hope to write more and more along the way. He has given me goals for my marriage, home and health and I look forward to what lies ahead as summer comes to a halt and we move into (what in my opinion is) the most beautiful season here in Maine.

A Day to Remember
On June 25 at approximately 3:15 p.m. I married my closest friend. He is someone whose character is incomparable; he loves his friends and family with all his heart and is one of the hardest workers I've ever known, not to mention he loves the Lord and has the looks. It's safe to say that I love him very much and am a very lucky gal. It hasn't always been smooth sailing, but God has drawn us closer to Him throughout our relationship and continues to teach us His will for us as we move into this next phase in our life together...
Gaining Some More Family Members
Next came Lily, she was born the day after the fourth of July and I love her very dearly. She is healthy, adorable, and loved beyond measure and my sister is a wonderful mother already. I feel so blessed to be able to call my sister a close friend and that I get to share in the life of my beautiful little niece. Be on the lookout for many shopping excursions and coffee dates with this girly pair because it's totally happening; just give it a few years. :)Girls' Camp in Farmington 2017
A part of the scripture that our camp theme was wrapped around is Ephesians 4:-3; Paul writes, "I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." The love between all the staff members at camp is continuous and I loved to see how God placed all of the volunteers this year; He had each and every one of us there for a reason, to work together and bond in the body of Christ. It's really a neat thing to experience and I'm so grateful for the wonderful women that I get to serve with. I had a different role this year that involved a different kind of serving than what I usually am involved with in this area of ministry. God was definitely placing me in a role where I had to stretch and get out of my comfort zone (isn't it funny how He does that?) but I'm really thankful that He did because I learned a lot and had to depend on His guidance in all the little things. A piece of scripture from one of the stories we taught the kids really stuck with me right from the beginning of the week: (the disciples ask) "Who then can be saved?" But Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." - Matthew 19:25-26 - it was incredible to see how Good displayed his strength and guidance for the cabin leaders as they lead their girls through Bible studies and everyday adventures.I don't know what God has in store for this next chapter in my life but I'm excited and hope to write more and more along the way. He has given me goals for my marriage, home and health and I look forward to what lies ahead as summer comes to a halt and we move into (what in my opinion is) the most beautiful season here in Maine.
